El título, de nombre Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake, nos deja en la lejana isla de Gogapoe, una tierra habitada por monstruos donde un joven llamado Niko se encuentra celebrando su cumpleaños. La tragedia que impulsa la aventura no tarda en llegar, y el infame rey Boogin junto a sus monstruos oscuros (los Boogins) deciden robar la tarta de cumpleaños para saciar su voraz apetito de pasteles. Decidido a vengar la afrenta, Niko se embarca en un periplo para combatir Boogins, devorar cubos de glaseado, y vencer al malvado rey Boogin.
La previsión del equipo es lanzar una versión para PC/Mac y otra para iOS, y para ello requieren la cantidad de 15.000 dólares con el fin de cubrir los costes de su creación y las licencias de Unity (el motor utilizado). Por si algún usuario se lo está preguntando, existe una versión proyectada para dispositivos Android, pero sólo será creada en el caso de alcanzar los 20.000 dólares de recaudación.
